Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this site, for what purposes and what your rights are, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data controller
The data controller is Casa dos Sequeiras, which operates the Quinta das Luzes local accommodation, based at Rua Luzes n.º 169, Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. [Legal name and tax number to be confirmed.]
For any question about privacy or your data, contact us at casadosequeiras@gmail.com.
What data we collect
We only collect the data you provide voluntarily through the contact form: name, email address, phone number (optional) and the content of your message.
We do not collect booking or payment data on this site. Reservations are made through the external Amenitiz engine, which handles that data independently, subject to its own privacy policy.
Purpose and legal basis
We use this data solely to respond to your request and for related communication. The basis is your consent and our legitimate interest in replying to those who contact us.
We do not use your data for marketing without your permission, nor do we sell or share it with third parties for that purpose.
Retention
We keep contact messages only for as long as needed to reply and for any follow-up [retention period to be confirmed], after which they are deleted.
Sharing and processing
Messages are sent to the property's mailbox, hosted on Google Workspace, which acts as a processor. We do not use third-party form processors: the form is handled on the domain's own server.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses no tracking or advertising cookies. For that reason, no cookie banner is shown.
To understand traffic, we plan to use a cookieless analytics solution that collects no personal data, to be enabled at launch. Until it is active, no visitor analytics are collected.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights over your data. To exercise them, contact us at the email above.
- Access your data
- Rectify incorrect or outdated data
- Request erasure of your data
- Restrict or object to processing
- Lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the CNPD (cnpd.pt)
